Ceramics at the Drawing Schools is a rapidly-expanding department, which encourages the use of clay to express individual creativity. The subject can be taken at all levels of examination, whilst also providing an area where boys can spend extra-curricular time enjoying making work.
The large, newly-built studios are highly equipped for all types of production. Boys have access to various types of clay, a large number of potter’s wheels, and five different kilns for glazing finished work. There are two computer stations located in the studio where boys can develop ideas and use the Internet to research other artists’ work.
One of the main strengths of the department is the potential for boys of all ages to work alongside each other in a friendly and professional manner.
