Eton College, founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, is one of the oldest schools in the country. Its historic buildings are an integral part of the national heritage and it is with great pleasure that we invite visitors to experience and share the beauty and traditions of the College. We would ask visitors, however, to recognize the fact that this is a residential academic establishment and not primarily a tourist attraction, and to respect the privacy of those who live and work here. Please note the following in particular:
- All visits to Eton College are guided. Please contact the Visits Manager.
- Food and drink must not be consumed within the precincts of the College.
- Photography is allowed, but not in College Chapel or the Museum of Eton Life.
- It is essential for the smooth operation of the daily schedule that the party arrive on time.
- Unforeseen circumstances may sometimes necessitate the cancellation of tours or the closure of parts of the College without prior notice.
Public tours start on 25 March 2010 and continue until 3 October 2010
The College will be closed to visitors on Saturday, 14 August 2010
