Medical Society

Dr Phillip Lee MP is the only practising doctor in the House of Commons. His talk was on the fragility and lack of sustainability in the NHS today. He opened with the unorthodox story of how he took two science degrees before studying medicine. He has had constant involvement in the Conservative Party throughout his career and was elected as MP for Bracknell in 2010. He stressed the NHS’s need for centralisation and change in acute hospitals as well as the need to adapt to an aging society. Bill Boucher GRP
