Eton College Greek Project
OCR GCSE Greek
Vocabulary Tester
On the SET-UP page you can choose to have a time limit for each question, to make your test more challenging. You can also choose to see hints in the TYPE test, by setting how many letters you need to type before any hints are shown. You have a choice of seeing questions in Greek or English, or a mixture of the two, and you can restrict your test to a particular part of speech or range of words.
If you choose a range, then you need to have at least three words in your selection. The numbers in front of the words in the GCSE list are the page numbers in the OCR Defined Vocabulary List. The numbers in the Reading Greek word list are section numbers. The same numbers are shown in the REVIEW list.
Press the REVIEW button to see the list of words you have chosen to be tested on. It can be useful to have a quick review of your words before you start.
If you are using a keyboard for the PICK test, you may find it quicker to pick one of the multiple-choice options by typing its number (1, 2, or 3).
Similarly in the TYPE test you can use your keyboard’s UP and DOWN arrow keys to pick a suggestion, then press the RETURN key to submit your choice.
In the TYPE test you can omit ‘...’ and just type a space in phrases such as ‘either ... or’. It is also acceptable to type a space in place of a hyphen.
You can look at your results at any time by pressing the RESULTS button, and then resume your test. You can continue for as long as you like, changing options on the SET-UP page, checking words in REVIEW, and swapping between PICK and TYPE questions.
