Prominent Feminist writer and commentator Laura Bates spoke to boys in D Block on Wednesday night as part of the PSHE lecture series. Laura talked to the boys about the origins of the Everyday Sexism Project which she founded in 2012. The website documents examples of sexism from around the world, and now has over 100 000 entries.

Laura explained to the boys what it meant to be a feminist, and encouraged them to think more critically about the portrayal of both men and women in society. Her talk was powerful, honest, and thought-provoking, and resonated strongly with the boys, many of whom stayed behind afterwards to continue the conversation with Laura.

We are extremely grateful to Laura for taking time out of her busy schedule to come and speak to the boys.
