On Wednesday 19th September, Dr Ostrowski spoke to 30 people at the Political Society on the title of ‘Marx at 200’. His talk’s structure of 10 brief points eloquently deconstructed the myths surrounding the political philosopher’s ideas. If not for advocating the implementation of Marx’s theory, the evening certainly invited legitimate critiques of capitalism.

It seemed fitting that on the 10th anniversary of the 2008 financial crash, Dr Ostrowski made a compelling case that rising inequality and the consequences of globalised capitalism will only make Marx’s legacy even more important.
