This November, 50 boys travelled to Downe House for Eton’s first Caledonian Society Ball of the year.

After a fantastic three course meal, boys and girls put their term’s practice into reality. After a well-executed ‘Dashing White Sergeant’, groups of six transformed into eights in preparation for the lengthy ‘Eightsome’ reel. Then came the entire-hall “Reel of the 51st”, before ending with ‘Hamilton House’.

Many thanks must go to the keepers of the societies from both schools who organised the event, and those behind the scenes in setting up the venue, as well as preparing and serving the food.
