Athletics - Berkshire Championships

The Junior and Senior High Jump records were both smashed on 21st May at Radley.
The F blocker Will Strutt (JMN) put the Junior mark up to 1.79m, while the Keeper Alex Green (IH) soared over 2.00m, an amazing achievement for a schoolboy.
At the Berkshire schools' athletics championships in Reading on 13 June, thirteen Etonians won gold medals, generating two school records and one equal record.
On the back of their winning performances, four boys were invited to compete for Berkshire at the ESAA Championships in Sheffield on the 10th and 11th of July. They were:
Will Strutt (JMN) - Junior high jump
Dom Smith (MJP) - Intermediate 400m and new school record holder (51.1s)
Alex Green (IH) - Senior high jump
Nana Owusu-Nyantekyi (PJMcK) - Senior triple jump and new school record holder (14.32m)
In addition, Leslie Dickson-Tetteh (DMG) equalled the junior 200m record (24.5s), even though he only finished second.
The other Berkshire champions were:
Adams (IH) - Pole vault 3.10m
Webber (MNF) - Discus 35.23m
Ashcroft OS (GRP) - Shot 11.84m
Parham OS (GRP) - 3000m 10.33.8
Bourne KS - 110m hurdles 16.7s
Gbedema (NCWS) - Long jump 5.94m
Salter OS (NCWS) - Pole vault 3.30m
Roope KS - Discus - 29.92m
Agbontaen (PJMcK) - Shot - 12.48m
