Henley 2009

In the semi-finals today, The VIII beat Pangbourne by 5 lengths, and again had the luxury of being able to row past the enclosures at a controlled rate of around 30 strokes per minute.
As expected, our opponents in the final tomorrow will be Abingdon, who beat Brunswick School of the USA by 2 and a half lengths.
The return of more normal conditions (a steady South or South Westerly) means a head wind down the course, so no extraordinary times today.
The forecast for tomorrow is similar, and the final will take place at 1230.

OE interest comes in the form of Ant Locke (CWM 07) who goes for his second Henley medal in the Ladies Plate in a GB U23 eight against Brown's varsity crew at 1200.  Ant was in The VIII in D block in 2005 when we last one the PE.
