1st XI Hockey:
Eton 3  Lord Wandsworth’s 0

Eton enjoyed plenty of possession and territory in this home encounter, and scored three good goals through Taylor, Maxwell and Arwas, without ever being under serious threat. With Senaratne long-term injured and Innes unable to start, Hosking and Willis Fleming were drafted in; both gave encouraging performances. Eton built continuous pressure down the right hand side, much of it stemming from the increasingly composed H.Lighton at right back. Nadeem again enjoyed a productive day at right wing, delivering countless crosses, more of which should have resulted in deflected shots. Arwas marked the Wandsworth playmaker effectively, thus cutting off their main source of ball, and Ashcroft and Buchan positioned themselves intelligently to intercept on countless occasions and kick-start fresh attacks. With such a wealth of possession, Eton should have registered a wider margin of victory, but this was still an efficient performance
