Entry to Eton College

Welcome to Eton College and thank you for your interest in our school.

Everyone at Eton works hard to create an exciting, stimulating and caring environment, to enable each boy to reach his full potential. All our pupils are also expected to make their own contribution to school life.

To achieve this we have developed an Admissions process which looks at a boy’s current and potential academic ability as well as whether he will be happy in our boarding environment. Every year we typically welcome boys from about 120 different state and independent schools.

Eton is committed to supporting pupils with disabilities and also has a Learning Support team for boys with special educational needs.

There are around 1,350 pupils at the school. In academic year 2018-2019, 20% of boys received financial support towards their fees (averaging a 67% reduction), with 90 boys currently receiving a 100% reduction. For academic year 2019-2020, £7.2 million has been budgeted for Financial Aid. Regrettably, it is still not possible to support all of the applications.
