Children from Slough have been creating their own unique projects in a special after school club using the Eton College Collections.

In their latest activity, the pupils from Willow School were able to spend time looking at and learning about some of the beautiful watercolours in the Collections. They used what they had discovered for their own works of art, using the iconic School Yard as inspiration.

The idea for the Eton College Collections Club came from a current boy and other Etonians also volunteer to help the visiting children with their activities, working alongside staff from the Collections.

The club is run as part of the Children’s University programme, a national organisation which aims to promote social mobility by providing high quality, voluntary out of school activities for children.

The current Eton College Collections Club has built on the success of the first, which was held in the spring term and involved children from Marish Primary School.
