Alliance for Curriculum Enrichment (ACE) Conference
The Alliance for Curriculum Enrichment (ACE) held its third conference at Eton College on 3 November. Over 80 delegates from 28 schools (20 of them state schools), met to discuss ways in which students can shape and influence their own learning. Each school’s delegation comprised the head or a senior teacher together with two sixth form students. The conference was organised and run by students from Windsor Boys’ School, Windsor Girls’ School, Eton College, Wycombe Abbey and Beauchamp Community College.
Delegates discussed a wide range of approaches including training students to be responsible for the observation of teaching in school, student teacher and learning panels to advise on teaching techniques, and student-student mentoring schemes.
