On the 4th of March, Mr Gilmour, a senior official from the UN, addressed the Amnesty and Salisbury societies in the Marten Library. In his talk, Mr Gilmour focused on three specific countries that have in the media spotlight due to their political instability- Ukraine, Syria and South Sudan. While analysing the issues in these nations, Mr Gilmour shared his personal opinions on current events and their possible outcomes. After his talk, Mr Gilmour answered several questions and engaged with boys in various discussions relating to human rights and international crises.
