Congratulations are in order for Benjamin de Jager KS and Oliver Feng (PJMcK) following their performances in this year’s British Physics Olympiad.

Both achieved Gold Medals and top 50 scores in Round 1. On this basis, the two boys were asked to participate in Round 2 which is “designed to stretch and challenge the top young physicists in the country”. Ben ultimately receives a Merit and Oliver a Commendation.

As a school, we do not receive a Gold Medal on an annual basis. This is the first time two boys have managed it in the same year during my decade at Eton – a truly significant achievement for each of them.
