On Thursday 19th of September, College Chapel Choir were fortunate enough to perform in St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, under the direction of Dr Christopher Robinson as part of the Windsor Festival. Singing in such an iconic building was a real privilege for everyone involved, and overall the concert was a huge success. The repertoire included Elgar’s ‘Give unto the Lord’, as well as his notable orchestral work, ‘Sea Pictures’. In the second half, we performed other magnificent pieces such as Finzi’s ‘Lo, the full final sacrifice and Vaughn Williams’ ‘Five Mystical Songs’, which features a prominent baritone solo. It was truly great to be part of an exceptional concert, performed in conjunction with the choir of St. George’s Chapel and the world-renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Thank you to TJJ, and all the music staff, for their work preparing and organising a really fantastic concert.
