Robert Kerr OE who works at Adam Architecture in Winchester, came back to Eton to give a talk on ‘Architecture in Practice’. He spoke about the importance of work experience if one wants to become an architect, where to study architecture at university and how to qualify as an architect. His advice was hugely helpful – especially because qualifying as an architect takes ten years and so there is a huge amount that one needs to consider before committing to the profession. He concluded his talk by saying a little bit about what working at Adam Architecture has been like and the practice’s focus on classical design – it was fascinating to hear about Robbie's involvement in the projects and the exceptional drawing skills of his colleagues.
