Twelve Year 9 and 10 pupils enjoyed unusually fine weather for their expedition to Snowdonia at the start of the Easter holidays. Head of Outdoor Education Mark Fielker told the Press Office about their trip.

‘We camped at the base of Tryfan in the Ogwen Valley and our routes included a circuit through the Carneddau, scrambling the north ridge of Tryfan and a traverse of Glyder Fach. The pupils also had a session climbing on the crags above Capel Curig.

They were a particularly good group, both in terms of their ability in the mountains and their attitude to the challenges, organisation and co-operation required.’

Many thanks to PDAM, DWH, BLJC, LSM and RPDF for accompanying the expedition.
