This joint Entrepreneurship/Sports Society meeting in Upper School was ideal for football lovers. David Dein, former vice-chairman of Arsenal and the FA, talked about his role in setting up the Premier League in 1992 and how football has transformed since then. It is an honour to have hosted someone who has been so influential in the football world. Amongst many other achievements, Mr Dein was largely responsible for signing Arsene Wenger as Arsenal’s manager and for introducing goal-line technology in the Premier League. It was an extremely enjoyable meeting, and we are thankful to Mr Dein for sharing so much with us.
