In support of the 'World Wide Fund for Nature’ (WWF)’s initiative to protect Mountain Gorillas, a critically endangered species which inhabit the Congo basin, Eton’s Environment Society has been running a fundraising photography competition. Boys were encouraged to enter their best wildlife photographs into the competition to win a place on the Environment Society calendar for 2017 and a trip to WWF’s Living Planet Centre. The entries were judged by an Environment Society committee and a professional photographer, Roger Hooper, who has worked with the WWF in the past. Congratulations to the following boys who submitted winning photographs :

Runners up : Oliver Clarke Jasper Sodha Will Yun-Farmbrough Eton will also display an exhibition of the photographs which were entered, in their Natural History Museum. Last year the Environment Society calendar made over £1,200 to support the Lions which inhabit the Masai Mara in Kenya. Adair Verey
