Eton’s ski team took part in the prestigious Canada Cup for the fourth consecutive year.
The team started the trip with six days of intensive training under the Head of the Ski School at Jasper, who is a world-class race coach. This experience greatly improved the skiers’ confidence.
Eton came 2nd in the team U18 and U16 giant slalom competitions and the U16s were 2nd in the slalom. Andreas Conte (AJC) proved his worth as team captain gaining 5th place in the overall competition for giant slalom. This was an impressive performance given the strength of the field. Harrow had a particularly strong team this year and deservedly won the Canada Cup.
Après-ski activities included curling, watching ice-hockey and the Awards dinner. The trip was led by masters Dr Ed Russell and Henry Clarke.
