On 3rd October HRH the Duke of York gave an illuminating talk to Eton Futures about the skills needed to be an entrepreneur, reflecting on the success of ‘Pitch@Palace’. This is an outreach programme started by HRH that brings entrepreneurs and investors together and is now present in over 50 countries.
His talk painted a picture of the collaborative endeavour that was needed in commercial situations. HRH described the importance of quantifying risk and taking account of uncertainty. He also emphasised the need for entrepreneurial ideas to be properly validated.
