Etonians on the Fringe submitted by Simon Dormandy We have become accustomed in recent years to seeing Old Etonians acting in Hollywood films, HBO series, the West End and on Broadway, with established stars like Hugh Laurie, Dominic West and Damian Lewis being joined by award-winning newcomers such as Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston. What is less well known is how many old boys are involved at the grass roots of the acting, writing, directing and producing shows on the Fringe, the world's largest arts festival. This is, after all, where it all starts: where cutting-edge drama and comedy gets tested and taken up, and where careers are launched. If you happen to be up there this year, you might like to take in one or two of the shows listed here.
