Tuesday 26th February

Iza Romanowska gave an insightful and enthusiastic talk on the expansion and advance of the Visigoths into Spain under Roman "patronage", and outlined the history of Pollentia, as well as the disintegration of the Roman empire. Subsequently, we were told about the creation of Necopolis and the formation of a more cohesive cultural identity. In answer to the questions, the ongoing explorations of the ArchaeoSpain expedition in Mallorca were discussed as well as the methods of funding and the state of the sites themselves. Concluding the speech, Ms Romanowska recommended the archaeology organisation and briefly outlined the program.
