The Keynes Society was delighted to welcome Rupert Soames OE to speak on his role as CEO of Aggreko, giving his views on the energy industry. Mr Soames's talk was energetic and witty, whilst providing a fascinating prediction for the future of geo-politics. He succeeded in conveying the worrying prospect of resource war and a battle for world hegemony between the US and China with his amazing ability to amuse and engage the audience. The event proved to be enjoyable and educational for all who attended. His advertising of his nightclub DJ alter-ego Slim Boy Phat did not go amiss.
