The Keynes Society began the academic year by hosting Sir Martin Broughton, Chairman of British Airways, in Upper School. With a CV that includes BAT, Liverpool FC and the CBI, Sir Martin’s choice of title, ‘Lessons from a life in Business’ , was very apt. Speaking to a packed audience, Sir Martin offered insights applicable to achieving success in many walks of life. These included having a winning mentality, surrounding oneself with talent, building up a personal brand and, indeed, hiring a good lawyer! Sir Martin spoke with poise, charisma and candour, setting the standard for an exciting Keynes Society programme this year.
