Speaking to the Law Society, Her Honour Judge Wendy Joseph QC recounted the course of her career. Having surprising herself by joining the profession soon after finishing an English degree, she explained how intimidating it was as an outsider joining the bar, and how she gradually gained confidence from her early experiences of advocacy. Judge Joseph spoke lucidly about the skill of being a good advocate and about the challenges and rewards of being a judge at the Old Bailey.
