Mr O’Kane began his talk by reminding the audience that in addition to the prime ministers, actors, and writers who usually populate the lists of OEs, Eton must also confess to having bred some eminent criminals. The Head of Business Crime at Peters and Peters, he spoke lucidly of the problems of extradition and international law, interspersed with entertaining anecdotes about his time in the profession. A lively question and answer session touched on the issues of the future of white-collar crime, and the effects of technology on the legal service.
