The Literary Society welcomed Nicholas Coleridge, President of Condé Nast International and a Sunday Times bestselling novelist. It was a fabulous talk and over 50 Etonians heard about the inner workings of Condé Nast group, the intricacies of novel writing and some colourful anecdotes about the glossy-magazine industry. As with all Literary Society gatherings the questions were erudite and thoughtful, and Mr Coleridge led a jovial discussion ranging from short-story writing in magazines to his times leading the erstwhile Contemporary Arts Society at Eton. Overall it was a fantastic evening and a real highlight of what has been a highly successful year for the Literary Society so far.
