The Eton College Natural History Museum ran another highly successful Family Learning Event on Sunday 29th September in collaboration with the Clewer Cluster of Schools and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

35 children with their parents were provided with activities on the theme of 'Voyages through Time and Space'. Activities featured a trail around the museum in celebration of the botanising life of Sir Joseph Banks OE and his heroic round-the-world voyage on HMS Endeavour. Michael Holland, Education Officer from the Chelsea Physic Garden, explored the world of seeds and the children found out about the dispersal of seeds and their value to mankind. They enjoyed the opportunity to use microscopes and observe and even eat a variety of seeds, then planted some to take home.
