Open Singles Rackets championships

Eton College are hosting the Open Singles Rackets championships this week due to ongoing refurbishment at Queen’s Club. The qualifying tournament is now complete and despite valiant efforts from two beaks (RRM and PMG), neither were able to get into the main draw. Eton College is represented by Peter Brake (the rackets professional) and by several Old Etonian players. Will Hopton (ex-DMG) is seeded two and plays Peter Brake in the first round on Tuesday evening. Guy Smith-Bingham OE won his matches in the qualifying tournament convincingly over the weekend and now has to play a seeded player in round one.

Full details of all match times can be found on the T&RA website and spectators are welcome in the galleries for all matches including the final on Monday 30th January at 7pm.
