The Photographic Society was privileged to hear from Nathalie Mountain last week, who spoke about her travels in Africa and experience photographing the continent’s extensive wildlife. A talk that was full of useful and practical tips on how to improve wildlife photography skills was also inspirational, as the virtual audience were treated to stunning shots of cheetahs and lions. She explained how to sensitively deal with kill scenes, capture dramatic action and explore the diversity of textures, patterns, and colours. We were especially enthralled hearing stories of tense close encounters with wild animals, as well as those which revealed their playful, inquisitive nature.
