A competition to find the best photograph on the theme People in the Landscape has been launched by Eton College.

The contest is open to pupils from the college and other schools in the local area.

It coincides with a new exhibition on at Eton’s Verey Gallery called Landscapes of Innocence and Experience by renowned photographer Simon Roberts. Simon will judge the competition.

“The photos can be of people in any landscape,” said Charlotte Villiers, Eton’s Exhibitions and Outreach Co-ordinator. “It could show a holiday by the sea, or an afternoon enjoying the Great Park. Or it can be something very day-to-day, such as shoppers in one of the town centres. It is wherever your imagination takes you.”

There are three age groups: 6-12 years, 13 to 16 years and 17-18 years. All entries will be posted on the Eton College website and prize winning photographs will also go on display at the College. The winner of each category will receive £150 of vouchers for photographic equipment.

Closing date for entries is Tuesday April 17th 2015.
