In December, the Science department worked alongside the Partnerships team to deliver the first Primary School Science Visit, an afternoon of workshops in the three sciences for 40 local primary school pupils. In the chemistry lesson, the children used Bunsen burners and investigated a variety of different chemicals for the first time, they dissected owl pellets in biology and made their own underwater rockets in physics.

On their way back to the coach the pupils were heard debating which was the best science and wondering at the scale of the College. Both departments look forward to running another primary school science visit next half.
