The Eton Aspiration Project, which sees boys mentoring inquisitive students from neighbouring schools, is going from strength to strength.
Begun three years ago by a senior boy, and facilitated by Mr Roberts as Master-in-Charge, the project enables boys to demonstrate their passion for complex ideas through teaching them to others.
Senior boys have been visiting Holyport School this year to deliver activities and discussions they have planned themselves, focusing on advanced maths and logic. Boys consider carefully how to best engage Year 7 and 8 students to respond to questions which extend their skills beyond the classroom.
Students have really enjoyed getting the chance to grapple with familiar subjects at a higher level. The project is continuing next half, with an extended focus on English and the Humanities.
