The Simeon Society met in 1 Weston's Yard and roughly 20 boys attended. The Revd Paul Perkin spoke on 'The Role of the Holy Spirit' and based his talk on the start of Romans 8. His talk followed on well from the Simeon Society meeting the week before which was on 'Failure in the Christian Life' as Paul explained that the Holy Spirit is Jesus's helper for when we are struggling to leave behind our sinful ways and turn towards Jesus. We learnt that the Holy Spirit sets us free from the our old sinful ways and is able to help in every situation.
