The Eton Sports Climbing team retained the Independent Schools Climbing Championships Trophy this week, held at the XC Centre in Hemel Hempstead. This was also a first experience of the new Olympic format, which includes Speed Climbing.
The U18A team of Arthur T (NPTL), Henry B (HWTA), Oscar M (WING) & Yan K (PRKB) won both Team Speed Climbing Gold and Team Bouldering Gold.
Oscar M won Individual Gold in Speed Climbing and Bronze in Lead Climbing, and Arthur T also won individual Bronze in Bouldering and Speed Climbing.
Other boys involved in the U18B team were Sam R (PRKB), Will B (WING), Digby T (NPTL), Geordie L (MAG) & Nouri S (BJH).
