During St Andrew’s Day Short Leave, 17 runners from the Eton College community successfully completed the annual 5K run around Dorney Lake in Santa suits to raise money for and awareness of the charity ADS (Alzheimer’s Dementia Support).

Community members placed highly in the race against 150 other runners, with congratulations due to senior boy Toby Lawson for reaching second place! With a total of £14,112 raised for numerous charities, the community contributed £6,518.97.

With many runners knowing a relative or friend who are suffering from dementia it was a day to celebrate the opportunity to give back.

Thanks are due to all of the ‘A Team’ runners who took part – we look forward to seeing their performance on the track next year!
