Wednesday 23rd January

The medical society was lucky to be joined by Consultant Dermatologist Dr Richard Staughton of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for its fist meeting of the half. He described the treatment and causes of a broad range of skin diseases and also went into much detail on issues more relevant to teenage boys (e.g. Acne.) His talk opened up to the audience the idea of a career in dermatology and highlighted how varied medicine can be as a profession.

It was a great turnout of roughly 100, bolstered as ever by students from surrounding schools. With a vet planned for next week it looks like the medical society will be as strong and as varied as ever this half.
