Five Vikings were among the 36 athletes taking part in the recent Oxford and Cambridge Trial Eights. Of those, four were racing for Oxford and one for Cambridge.

Constantine Louloudis (KS ’10), the President of Oxford, lined up alongside Will Geffen (MGHM ’13) and Charlie Thurston (GRP ’14) in Per Terram against Henry Goodier (RPDF ’08) in Per Mare. During the race the lead changed hands several times before Per Terram with its three Vikings on board, took what proved to be a decisive advantage at Barnes to go on to win by two lengths.

After Oxford came Cambridge 63 with Chris Snowden (GRP, ’11) in the two seat, lined up against Not Out. In the end Not Out handled the choppy water around Chiswick better than 63 and rowed away to win by the exact same margin as in the Oxford race.
