On 2nd October the Simeon Society hosted Revd John Adams OE (KS 1995-2000). Revd Adams, a former oarsman in Oxford’s winning blue boat of 2003, teacher at Radley College, and now Associate Minister at Emmanuel Church, Wimbledon, spoke from John’s gospel (Chapter 7) on whether or not Jesus should be considered to be a good man or rather, in the famous words of C.S. Lewis, ‘a man on the level of one who thinks himself a poached egg, […] the devil […] or the Lord.’

It was an engaging and thought-provoking talk which challenged the boys and beaks present to consider carefully the grounds upon which they make decisions of faith.
