A Message of Hope

A Message of Hope

Last week we were honoured to spend the day with Ahmad Nawaz, an 18 year old campaigner who spoke passionately about the need for tolerance, kindness and understanding in today’s society.

Ahmad was the victim of a Taliban terrorist attack on his school in Pakistan in 2014, an attack in which he tragically lost his younger brother.

Since moving to the UK for treatment and to continue his education, Ahmad has worked tirelessly to combat the radicalisation of teenagers that he believes enables and encourages attacks like the one he experienced.

He spent the day speaking to boys in assembly, working with groups in the English, Divinity and History Departments, and entrancing an audience of 300 boys and staff in the Jafar Hall in his evening lecture.

Ahmad’s message, of small acts of kindness, of hope and forgiveness, was an inspiring one. We want to thank him very much for his time, and his story.

Find out more about Ahmad’s charity here.
