On Thursday, 17th January, boys with a keen interest in Finance Careers attended a workshop delivered by Matthew Craston of Finance Map. This clearly explained many technical financial concepts and terms and described the varying job roles which are available in the financial sector. For example, the course examined the differences between investment banking and fund management, and between hedge funds and private equity funds. The presentation emphasised the need to develop financial as well as economic literacy when targeting careers in this area.
