Jafar Gallery Custodian (Job Share)

We are looking to appoint a part-time Custodian for the Jafar Gallery to supervise the safe and secure operation of the gallery on Sunday afternoons throughout the year. The Custodian will be required to assist the Curator and other staff in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities, and to welcome and interact enthusiastically with visitors of all ages.  The post holder will work 3 hours per week on a Sunday afternoon for 48 weeks per year (to be split between two post holders as a job share).

House Chef

We are looking for a Chef to work in one of our Boarding Houses to provide fine dining and meals for the House including social functions, hospitality events and responsible for providing mid-morning snacks for the boys in the House. As this role requires you to work 6 days per week including split shifts, evenings and some weekend work, accommodation may be provided. The successful candidate must have a relevant catering qualification or previous experience within a similar environment, the ability to use their own initiative in a timely and efficient manner and have good communication skills particularly with young people.

Assistant Chef (Live Out)

We are recruiting an Assistant Chef in Holland House to start in September 2016. The ideal candidate must have a catering qualification and/or previous relevant experience in a similar role and have the ability to provide nutritious meals for the boys. Flexibility is required as you will be working 6 days per week including split shifts, evenings and some weekend work. This is a live out post.The role requires working with a small team but also unsupervised when covering for the Head Chef.  Having a passion for cooking as well the ability to work in a timely and efficient manner is essential.

Front of House Cleaner

We are looking to appoint a full-time, permanent Front of House Cleaner, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.00am-12.30pm, 1.00pm-3.30pm. Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for ensuring that the College’s ‘Front of House’ areas are always kept clean and tidy. The role will involve a significant amount of working outdoors in various weather conditions and climate. From time to time you may be asked to work internally in various School buildings as a cleaner.

Project Archivist (Fixed Term)

We are looking to appoint a Project Archivist to undertake a fixed term contract based within the College Library.  The successful candidate will be responsible for creating original, electronic catalogue records for designated materials in the modern collections, using international standards for cataloguing literary archives and personal papers.  If you are interested in applying for this post, please click on the job title above for a full job description and how to apply.

Cleaner

We are looking for a Cleaner to work mornings in Bekynton, the College’s central dining facility.  You will be responsible, under the direction of the Duty Manager, for the cleaning of designated areas in and around Bekynton to ensure that they are maintained to a high standard, tidy and hygienic. These include staff rooms, offices, toilets, changing areas, corridors, Masters Common Room and outside areas. Adherence to all COSHH legislation. Previous experience is essential and the ideal candidate must be able to work on their own initiative, be flexible and have good communication skills.

Archives Assistant (1 year fixed term contract)

We are seeking to recruit an Archives Assistant on a one year fixed term contract from September 2016.  This position is suitable for someone intending to apply for one of the recognised postgraduate archival courses or similar heritage sector qualification.  Please click on the job title above to download a copy of the job description.
