Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Eton need financial support?

Eton relies on two sources of income: fees and endowment. Today’s endowment, the portfolio of property and other investments held by Eton, provides a much smaller percentage of operating revenue than many realise. Nearly 90 per cent of Eton’s budget comes from fees. The balance has shifted towards too great a reliance on fee income which is simply not sufficient to protect Eton’s overall excellence and independence.

Can I make a tax efficient gift?
