On a busy evening of various societies, I was delighted to see such a good turnout for Sr. Castrillo. Apart from hearing how Grupo Santander works on an international level, we also learnt what Santander UK (a completely separate company) has done, and is doing, in order to compete with the four main UK banks. Moving on from this, Sr. Castrillo talked about what is essential in order to be successful in the banking world and how Santander has managed to do this. He spoke of how opportunities can turn up at any time, so it is a question of being prepared and having careful risk management.
