Next time it’ll be dinosaurs in the Natural History Museum

On Sunday 30th October, Eton College Natural History Museum ran another Family Learning Event (FLE) in collaboration with the Clewer Cluster of Schools. Over seventy adults and children took part in activities including a bird trail around the museum, a creative activity designing a bird egg and nest, and played bird-call bingo! A local falconer brought in a whole range of falcons, hawks, owls and even a charismatic Kookaburra and the children were actively involved in the flying displays that took place in Queen’s Schools quad. The feedback on the day was very positive and the Curator is looking ahead to the next FLE, probably on a dinosaur theme!

As always, the activities of the museum can be followed on Twitter (appropriately enough for a bird event!) and on Facebook.
