Living Advent Calendar event at museum

Eton College’s Natural History Museum will be taking part in the Living Advent Calendar event at 6pm this Wednesday 17 December, when the doors will be open for local residents to explore.

The museum’s own Arctic Fox, Greenland Falcon, a ptarmigan and a lemming will be helping to illustrate Curator George Fussey’s talk about Animals from the Snow Country. They will also have the chance to see one of the three barn owls in the museum.

The Windsor and Eton Living Advent Calendar is a collaborative project run with Windsor and Eton Town Partnership, the Windsor Observer and 24 local businesses to provide live entertainment every evening from 1 to 24 December 2014. Much like a children’s advent calendar, a different window or door is opened every evening with a 15-minute performance for the assembled audience.

During the holidays the Natural History Museum will be open to the public every Sunday from 2.30 pm – 5pm, including 28th December. Entry is free.
